Pi Kappa Delta Sponsorship Program

Founded in 1911, and under the motto “Peitho Kale Dikaia- the Art of Persuasion, Beautiful and Just,” Pi Kappa Delta has offered national competition, scholarship opportunities, and academic support to colleges and universities for over 100 years. Every year, this organization hosts a National Championship competition for over 500  students.

As a thank you to our sponsors, Pi Kappa Delta will proudly display the donor organization’s name and logo at all PKD events and will give special thanks and recognition at our National Tournament and Annual Conference.

Sponsors will also have their names and logos included in Pi Kappa Delta materials. These include the tournament packets given to participants at PKD events, and the Key, a regular publication of Pi Kappa Delta.

Additionally, for sponsors who wish to donate beyond the tiers listed below, Pi Kappa Delta is prepared to discuss naming rights for Pi Kappa Delta events. To discuss sponsorship opportunities, please contact Dr. Adam Blood at ablood@uwf.edu.

Orators and Storytellers Sponsorship (Bronze Level)-           $1,000.00

$500 Dollar Donation

For a donation of $500, sponsors can support both Pi Kappa Delta and the participating school of their choice. A portion of this donation will be deducted from the selected school’s entry fees at the PKD Biennial or Tournament.

All sponsorships and donations will be used to cover Pi Kappa Delta operating expenses, with any additional funds being added to the Pi Kappa Endowment Fund, hosted by the West Saint Paul and Minnesota Foundation. PKD is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization.

Pi Kappa Delta is among the oldest forensics organizations in the United States. John A. Shields and Egbert R. Nichols founded the organization in 1911. Both were debaters, and felt the need to create an organization for colleges across the country to recognize orators and debaters. They created a Constitution and Bylaws with official rules and regulations and the Pi Kappa Delta honorary key soon thereafter. Today, the honor society consists of speech and debate educators, students, and alumni from across the country.
